The Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce will host free SCORE counseling for small business owners from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Jan. 12 at 286 Fourth St. in Bremerton.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization made up of volunteers with business background in 62 different industries.

The counseling sessions are confidential and owners can ask  mentors about financing a business loan, expanding their existing business or saving a failing business.

Previous workshops included topics such as how to create a profit and loss statement, going green, social media and neighborhood marketing and disaster recovery.

Each counseling session will be 45 minutes long, and by appointment.
