Employees make a difference

KCU’s On the Spot award winners are peer nominated and receive a certificate of appreciation as well as paid time off.

As part of its ongoing employee recognition program, Kitsap Credit Union, recently awarded Contact Center Representative Matthew Peterson, Financial Representative Karla Fountain, and Project Manager Laurie Antoszewski with On the Spot recognition for credit union excellence.

Peterson received his recognition for going above and beyond when coming to the aid of a member amidst an ongoing merchant dispute. Although the member gratefully applauded his efforts, Peterson highlighted the cooperative spirit behind the Credit Union, by gracefully crediting his team for the assistance.

For inspiring others while showing initiative during the Credit Union’s computer system upgrade, Fountain was surprised by her recognition, stemming from her peers at the Credit Union’s Port Townsend location.

Dedicating well over a year managing the resources involved in the Credit Union’s computer system upgrade, Antoszewski, received recognition for the behind-the-scenes work that resulted in the under budget and  timely completion of the project with little disturbance to members.
