The Easter Bunny will be making numerous egg-citing stops throughout North Kitsap Saturday and that means pretty much one thing for local youngsters — candy. And plenty of it. The North Kitsap Herald staff has compiled the following report for residents and visitors who are looking to take the kids out to an annual Easter egg hunt and those brave souls willing to stop at two or more of the events with a car full of chocolate-coated kids.

HANSVILLE:

• The annual community Easter egg hunt will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Hansville Community Center. Separate hunting areas will be set up for children ages 0-2, 3-6 and 7-12. Parents may assist their children ages 0-2 during the hunt. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand. Volunteers interested in helping set up prize tables on Friday night or hiding eggs Saturday can call (360) 638-1339.

INDIANOLA:

• Indianola Living Hope Church will host an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. March 26 at the corner of Midway and Division streets. The event is slated for kids 2-12.

KINGSTON:

• The annual Kingston Community Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. March 26 at Bayside Community Church, 25992 Barber Cut Off Road. The event features Blaze the firedog and representatives from North Kitsap Fire & Rescue. The event is open to kids age infant through fourth grade and separate hunting areas will be created for each age group. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call (360) 297-2000.

• The annual spring Easter egg hunt will start at 3 p.m. March 26 at Kola Kole Park. The event is open to children ages 1-11. Separate hunts begin for kids ages 1-3 at 3 p.m. and continues with new hunts starting every 20 minutes for ages 4-5 and 8-9, 6-7 and 10-11, and special needs children ages 1-11. POULSBO:

• The Poulsbo/North Kitsap Rotary Club and the Poulsbo Noon Lions will host their 11th annual Easter Candy Hunt event starting at 9:45 a.m. March 26 at Raab Park.

At 9:45 a.m. an Easter Basket and Easter Bonnet Contest will be held and at 10:05 a.m., the hunt begins with areas divided into age groups, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. Age groups start every 10 minutes.

• First Lutheran Church will host its community Easter Egg Festival at 2 p.m. in the Christian Center. For more information, call (360) 779-2622.

• The Poulsbo Sons of Norway will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. March 26 at Waterfront Park in Poulsbo. The event is slated for kids ages 1-10. For more information, call (360) 779-5209.

• Christ Memorial Church Children’s Ministries will presents a special Gospel presentation including music, audience participation, drama, special prize drawings and more. Following the presentation is the community Easter egg hunt from 10-11 a.m. Door opens at 9:30 a.m. All ages are welcome, but only children ages 10 and younger can be hunters.
