Earth Day event in Manchester April 21

The event is sponsored by the Manchester Community Association.

MANCHESTER — The Manchester Community Association will sponsor an Earth Day event at Stormwater Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.

There will be a planting table for kids to plant their own sunflowers to take home. Clean Water Kitsap will give presentations about rain garden installation and the stormwater park; Kitsap Solid Waste will provide information about recycling, and Kitsap Health Department will answer questions about maintaining healthy septic systems.

Manchester Water and the Port of Manchester will also share ways to use water wisely and share information about the Arbor Day Foundation.
