Four dogs with a retail value of about $3,800 were reported stolen from a Silverdale store, and one suspected thief may have been responsible for a previous dognapping.
A Kitsap County sheriff’s deputy was called to The Farmland Feed Company, 9000 Silverdale Way NW, Dec. 3.
The manager showed the deputy security camera footage of two people taking the dogs. She told the deputy she believes one of the people on camera had previously stolen a dog, but had returned it.
The dogs all had microchip implants.
The thieves had entered the store through a sliding door that had been entered by cutting locks.
Stolen were a female Rottweiler, a male brindle boxer and a female Maltese, each priced at $995. Also stolen was a mini pincher priced at $795.
