Special guest was former Oakland Raider defensive lineman and Super Bowl Champion Otis Sistrunk, who donated an autographed jersey to the silent auction.  The fearsome Raider became a trademark of the Silver and Black’s reputation for physical play. Sistrunk was said to have attended the University of Mars.

Also feted were military service members and veterans, along with two-time Bremerton state wrestling champion Lauren Richardson, who will have a banner hung in the Bremerton High gym honoring her accomplishments.

The Men’s Basketball team from Olympic College was a key cog in making the feast a huge success.

Due to community support, the Semancik Foundation has been able to award seven $2,000 scholarships to help Knight grads achieve post prep education.  Since its inception in 2000, the foundation has presented more than 50 scholarships to BHS graduates, many of whom return to serve on the board of directors and volunteer to help at foundation events.  All profits beyond expenses go to the foundation scholarship fund.
