PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County budget review hearings for 2015 funding proposals from all county departments and agencies get under way Sept. 15.

County departments will present funding requests for the 2015 budget to the Board of Commissioners, county administrator and Budget Review Committee, an advisory group made up of a citizen representative from each commission district and a county employee representing organized labor.

The hearings are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 15; 1-5 p.m. on Sept. 17; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18; and 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 22 with an open house from 4:30-5:30 p.m. that day.

Hearings take place in the Commissioners’ Chambers of the County Administration Building, 619 Division St., in Port Orchard. The hearings will air live on BKAT and broadcast on Comcast Channel 12 and WAVE Channel 3.
