NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: The Poulsbo Police Department is hosting National Night Out, an anti-crime event for Poulsbo residents from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the Waterfront Park/Anderson Parkway. This family event gives Poulsbo residents a chance to meet Poulsbo police officers and learn about safety, crime prevention and neighborhood watch programs. Refreshments will be provided, along with games and giveaways. There will be police cars and police boats on display. CANDIDATE FORUM: The North Kitsap Republican Women will be hosting a candidate forum from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6 at the Poulsbo Fire Station on State Route 305. FOLK DANCE PROGRAM: Well-known Norwegian dance instructor Karin Brennesvik and her daughter Arnhild will perform intricate country dances from Telemark and Neumedal, Norway, at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at the Poulsbo Sons of Norway, 18891 Front St., Poulsbo.
