Commissioner-elect Wolfe names transition team

District 3 County Commissioner-elect Ed Wolfe has organized a transition team of community and industry leaders to assist him in the weeks ahead as he prepares to begin his commission term. “My years of experience in government, law and the private sector have prepared me to serve as a county commissioner,” Wolfe said in the announcement. “Part of that preparation includes surrounding myself with those who can provide the best guidance and advice on how to get to work quickly and efficiently.”

SILVERDALE — District 3 County Commissioner-elect Ed Wolfe has organized a transition team of community and industry leaders to assist him in the weeks ahead as he prepares to begin his commission term.

“My years of experience in government, law and the private sector have prepared me to serve as a county commissioner,” Wolfe said in the announcement. “Part of that preparation includes surrounding myself with those who can provide the best guidance and advice on how to get to work quickly and efficiently.”

Wolfe’s transition team includes Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent, a former District 3 county commissioner; Poulsbo Police Chief Al Townsend; Olympic College trustee Alice Tawresey, a former mayor of Winslow; Jon Rose, president of Olympic Property Group; Teresa Osinski, executive vice president of the Home Builders Association of Kitsap County; Daryl Daugs, organizational management specialist; Guy Stitt, ambassador to the Navy for the Puget Sound Naval Bases Association and Navy League of the United States; and Steve Sego, land use and public policy adviser.

“I’m honored to have been elected by the voters of Kitsap County,” Wolfe said in the announcement. “Now it’s time to get to work and this team of community leaders, who each bring valuable and diverse experience, will help me begin with the information I need to serve more effectively.”

The transition team will function as an ad hoc task force and will complete its work by year’s end. Team members convened the morning of Nov. 14 and plan on meeting once again in the weeks ahead, according to the announcement.

Wolfe, a Bremerton lawyer and former assistant U.S. secretary of state, defeated incumbent Linda Streissguth in the Nov. 4 general election. Because Streissguth was appointed to fill a commission vacancy, Wolfe will begin his term after the election is certified on Nov. 25.
