Closures posted for Thanksgiving

Here's a look at what's closed on Thanksgiving Day:

All city, county, state and federal offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving. Banks and financial institutions also will be closed.

Central Kitsap and Bremerton public schools will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving break. School will resume on Monday,  Dec. 2.

Bremerton City Hall and the Kitsap County Courthouse and Administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Kitsap Transit’s routed, ACCESS vans and buses, vanpools and the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry will not operate on Thanksgiving Day. Kitsap Transit’s customer service office, information phone lines and administrative office will be closed.

The ORCA call center will be closed on both Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving.

The Washington State Ferries will operate on a holiday schedule.

There will be no residential or commercial garbage, recycling, or yard waste pick-up service on Thanksgiving Day for Waste Management in Kitsap County.

Waste Management’s Thursday pick-ups are on Friday, and Friday pick-ups are on Saturday of that week. The Recycling and Garbage Facilities at Hansville, Silverdale, Olalla, and the Poulsbo Recycle Center are closed Thanksgiving Day. They will reopen the day after Thanksgiving.

The offices of the Central Kitsap Reporter and the Bremerton Patriot will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday, Nov. 29. They will re-open on Monday, Dec. 2.
