The Port Orchard City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Brandy Rinearson to the city clerk position at Tuesday night’s council meeting.

Rinearson has worked as the interim city clerk since former city clerk Patti Kirkpatrick was let go on Feb. 27. Rinearson has also worked as the deputy city clerk.

The new clerk’s appointment was first brought before the council on March 13, but council members delayed her appointment until more information could be gained from a city council work study session on March 20.
