Chamber recognizes outstanding SKSD staffers

Kim Miklas and Stephanie Kime win staff awards

PORT ORCHARD — Two South Kitsap School District employees were recognized for their service with Star Staff Awards at a June 13 Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Kim Miklas, a teacher at Olalla Elementary, received the Certificated Star Staff Award and Stephanie Kime, the registrar at John Sedgwick Middle School, was given the Classified Star Staff Award.

Classified and certificated staff members in the school district were nominated by their peers or supervisor for teamwork, innovation, job performance and student connection/engagement.

Winners are selected and recognized three times a year at a Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce luncheon with a certificate of recognition and gift cards from chamber businesses.
