Chamber announces award nominees

Winners will be announced at the chamber's Accolades and Gala Oct. 18. The theme of the event is “A Salute to Silverdale.”

The Silverdale Chamber of Commerce has announced its nominees for their 2014 Accolades and Business Pioneer of the Year honors.

Nominees include:Business of the Year, sponsored by Evergreen Home Loans: Kitsap Credit Union, Gordon Sound, and Kitsap Bank.

Nominees are businesses who have through financial and in-kind resources made a significant impact on the Silverdale community’s economic and social wellbeing.

Citizen of the Year, sponsored by Oxford Suites and Inn: Rebecca Carlson, Angela Sell, and Irene Carper.

Nominees are individuals who have made a significant contribution to developing a sense of community in Silverdale.

Paul G. Linder Service Award for Chamber Member of the Year, sponsored by Puget Sound Energy: Alicia Nickerson, Jane Hill, and Joe Raymond.

Nominees are chamber members who have a significant record of service to the chamber and have given of their time talent and resources.

Business Pioneer of the Year, sponsored by Clearwater Casino and Resort, recognizes a business that has been in continuous operation for more than 15 years, ideally locally owned or family operated, and has made a significant contribution to the community and its development. This year’s recipient is Harrison Medical Center.

Winners will be announced at the chamber’s Accolades and Gala Oct. 18. The theme of the event is “A Salute to Silverdale.”
