Education leaders, parents, teachers and taxpayers are encouraged to attend a candidates forum focusing on education, which takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the North Kitsap Community Auditorium, 1881 NE Hostmark Street, Poulsbo.

The Kitsap County League of Women Voters and Region 1 PTA Council are hosting the event which will feature 23rd Legislative District senator and representative candidates.

Those who support keeping the Poulsbo community pool open are encouraged to attend.

The program will be videotaped and broadcast on Bremerton Kitsap Access TV (BKAT).
