‘Guys and Dolls’ youth performance A performance of “Guys and Dolls Jr.” will be presented by students of Central Stage Theatre of County Kitsap beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday. All performances will be presented at the Silverdale Community Center, 9729 Silverdale Way NW. Tickets cost between $10 and $15 and can be purchased at cstock.org.

Educational farm walks

Washington State University Kitsap Extension will be hosting “Hot Summer Nights,” a series of educational farm walks that will showcase sustainable, small acreage farms in the area.

There will be a session July 18 that will cover vegetable multi-cropping at Red Barn Farm/Wyckels Farm, 212 NW Bucklin Ct., Bremerton. Another session is scheduled for August 8 on urban farming at Start Now Gardens, 1134 Bloomington Ave., Bremerton. Both farm walks are from 6 to 8 p.m. and are open to individuals and children older than 12 years. For prices and more information, call (360) 337-7026.

World War I exhibit in Bremerton

“Over Here/Over There,” an exhibit of the county’s role in supporting U.S. efforts in World War I is currently on display at the Kitsap County Historical Society Museum. The exhibit includes war propaganda, military uniforms, artifacts and historic photography.

The museum is located at 280 Fourth St. in downtown Bremerton and is free to active duty military personnel and their families until Labor Day. For more information visit www.kitsaphistory.org.

Summer sale at Kitsap Goodwill stores

Kitsap Goodwill stores currently have a toy sale of 99 cents each in addition to next month selling all holiday merchandise at 50 percent off. The toy sale runs through July 8 and the “Christmas in July” sale will begin July 16 and run through July 24. The net proceeds from shoppers’ purchases support Goodwill’s free job training and education programs.
