FRIENDS OF SCOUTING BREAKFAST: The 2009 Annual Kitsap Friends of Scouting Leadership Breakfast will be from 7-8:30 a.m. Feb. 11 at the Kitsap Conference Center. FOOD AND WHODUNIT: The North Kitsap Options program will present a night of food, fun and mystery for its eighth annual mystery dinner theatre at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 and 14 and 5:30 Feb. 15 at the Poulsbo Eagles Club, 4230 NE Lincoln Road at Widme. The evening consists of a 1920s murder mystery, four-course dinner, a no-host bar, a live and a silent auction. SWEET HEART DANCE: First Lutheran Church will host its 12th annual Sweet Heart Dance at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the First Lutheran Church Christian Center located off 4th Avenue, downtown Poulsbo. Music will be provided by the popular Northwest band Casanova playing everything from Swing to Tango. Dance and listen to music from the 50s to 90s. Cost of the evening is $10 per person. Half of the ticket price is tax deductible with proceeds going to benefit upgrades at the Martha & Mary Child Care Center. Donations will be gladly accepted if you are not able to attend. Tickets are available at all Martha & Mary childcare centers and the gift shop at the Martha & Mary Health & Rehab Center.

FOLK CONCERT: Two musicians from Finland will perform at the Sons of Norway at 7 p.m. Feb. 16. They both play two- and five-row button accordions, while one also plays the violin. Both have studied at Sibelius Academy’s Folk Music Department. A gammal dans will follow the concert from 8-9 p.m. There will be a folk dancing workshop, led by Fred and Linda Aalto at 6 p.m. Donations $5. School-aged children receive free admission. The public is welcome.

GREENING YOUR HOME: Eco-designer Bruce Glenn of Terra Sol Eco Homes, Port Townsend, will explain how you can with minimal effort and some financial investment, green your new or existing home in “Greening Your Home,” from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 21 at Stillwaters Environmental Center, 26059 Barver Cut Off Road, Kingston. ARTIST’S WAY: Certified Creativity Coach Marcia Randall DeBard presents “The Artist’s Way,” a time-proven process for discovering/recovering personal creativity.
