MCTAKEOVER: Soroptimist International of Greater North Kitsap will conduct a McTakeover from 6-8 p.m. today at the McDonald’s on Poulsbo’s Viking Way. Funds raised will go toward raising awareness of the second annual Bras for a Cause fundraiser slated for October. Other information on the group will be available.

PLAY DATE: The Poulsbo Cooperative Preschool is hosting a preschooler play date at Lions Park in Poulsbo today from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet the teacher, other preschoolers and learn more about the school. ROCK ’N ROLL OVER DEAD: An after-hours event for teens will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. July 11 at the Poulsbo Branch of Kitsap Regional Library (700 NE Lincoln Road). Teens will be encouraged to figure out who committed the murder in the mystery called “Rock and Roll Over Dead.” Pre-registration is required. Info: 779-2915.

MUDPACK DOG AGILITY: Muddy Paws Agility Club of Kitsap (MudPACK) is hosting two agility trials in Port Gamble July 11-13. Dogs of many breeds and types, along with their handlers, will be performing. The trial will be held on the old baseball field. Spectators are welcome, but only entered dogs are allowed. There will also be several Vendors selling ‘Doggie’ and people goods at the site. RELAY FOR LIFE: The Kingston Lumber Relay For Life Team is having a garage sale in the Kingston Lumber parking lot on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All of the money raised goes to The Relay For Life for The American Cancer Society.

NK GOP MEETING: The North Kitsap Republican Women will have their regular monthly meeting on July 15 at the North Kitsap Fire Station on Miller Bay Road in Kingston at 11:30 a.m. Guests will be Mark Lowe and Larry Cooney, candidates for state representative from the 23rd Legislative District, Tim Matthes, running for county commissioner in the 2nd Commissioner District and Bruce Danielson non-partisan race for Superior Court and Tim Ford, non-partisan race for Court of Appeals. CLASS REUNION: The North Kitsap High School classes of 1992 and 1993 will be hosting a joint 15-year reunion July 19. The event will begin with a family picnic (potluck style) at Buck Lake in the afternoon and then an adults-only gathering at the Clearwater Casino in Suquamish will be held that evening.
