Fighter airlifted from Raab Park following match at Clearwater Casino

The MMA fighter was found semi-conscious in his hotel by a maid

On Monday, July 1, at approximately 9:00 a.m. mixed martial arts fighter, Cole Milani, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after being found semi-conscious in his hotel room in Poulsbo.

Milani, who hails from Klamath Falls, Ore; was one of 20 fighters participating in the Reign FC MMA Fight Night at Suquamish Clearwater Casino on June 29.

According to Reign FC Facebook page Milani faced off against Mike Holt of Olympia, and lost by knockout in round two.

Milani was staying at the Poulsbo Inn, when a maid found him semi-conscious in his room and called for emergency services.

“What was odd was they called us at the sheriff’s department first, rather than 911,” said Deputy Scott Wilson, spokesperson for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

“We sent the call over to Poulsbo PD and fire as it was under their jurisdiction,” Wilson said.

According to the Facebook group NW Fightscene, Milani suffered a stroke as a result of injuries sustained from the fight over the weekend.

“We heard from Harborview that the young man is now in stable condition,” said Jody Matson, spokesperson for Poulsbo Fire Department.

Kitsap News Group reporters have reached out to the Clearwater Casino and fight promoter Reign FC for comment but neither have responded.
