Kingston/North Kitsap Rotary Club is about to launch into major fundraising mode.

First, the Swing for Rotary Golf Classic on June 19 at White Horse Golf Club. It’s not too late to become a major sponsor, hole sponsor or to sponsor an event. Stan and Alice Amos are the tournament chairs for this event. If you are not a golfer, you can support this event by attending the Tournament Dinner to be held at White Horse. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased from any Rotarian or at www.knkrotarygolf.com.

Rotarians will gather at the end of June to celebrate the successful year of President Isaac Anderson and welcome incoming President Clint Boxman. Boxman, a financial adviser with Ameriprise, was Rotary president in 2011. His boundless energy and youthful enthusiasm will serve him well as Rotary makes major contributions to the community. Rotary scholarships are also awarded to Kingston High students at the end of June.

Boxman will have to hit the deck running after he takes office. The Fourth of July Fun Run is scheduled bright and early July 4. Aided by Paul Bryan and Dave Roberts, a website has been set up at kingston

running.org for details and registration. Early registration will save you the $10 registration fee on the day of the race. Runners can participate in the 1 mile, 5K or 10K race for a $25 entry fee.

Kingston Rotarians will serve beer every Saturday night in July and August in the Rotary Beer tent at Kingston Cove’s Concerts. The beer tent opens at 5 p.m. and the concerts run from 6-8 p.m.

Drop by or join us at a meeting, noon each Wednesday at the North Kitsap Fire and Rescue station on Miller Bay Road.
