Bremerton severe weather shelter will open Thursday, Dec.11

The severe weather shelter is for anyone in the area who requires safe overnight refuge where none is available.

Due to the heavy rain, strong wind and possible flooding conditions throughout Kitsap County, the severe weather shelter in Bremerton has been activated.

The location is at Bremerton Foodline, 1600 12th St., in Bremerton. Hours of operation will be from 6 p.m. Thursday until 7 a.m. Friday. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.

The severe weather shelter is for anyone in the area who requires safe overnight refuge where none is available.
