POULSBO — The North Kitsap Herald is proud to announce that Brad Camp has returned to the company as a photojournalist after an eight-year hiatus.

Camp previously worked with the Kitsap News Group from 1991 to 1997 as a photographer. He studied photojournalism at Kansas State University where he earned a journalism and mass communications degree in 1991.

“The Herald is very pleased to have Brad back behind the lens here,” said North Kitsap Herald publisher Donna Etchey. “Brad’s commitment to top notch photography is only rivaled by his commitment to the North End.”

Camp spent the last eight years in the corporate arena in media relations and most recently retired as a financial advisor with UBS. During that tenure he was past president of the Poulsbo Chamber and is the current president of the Poulsbo Rotary Club.

“I have always had a connection with the newspaper, and I have a passion for our community and telling its story through my work as a photojournalist,” Camp said. “North Kitsap is my backyard and I had a deep desire to return to the business and capture the life and spirit of our communities.”

“He’s excited to be back, and we’re ecstatic to have him,” Etchey said.

Camp lives in Kingston with his wife Mary who works at Bainbridge Gardens. They have two children, Victrina, 8, and Nickolas, 3.
