Aaron Leavell, principal of Bremerton High School, has been hired as the North Kitsap School District’s (NKSD’s) director of secondary education.

His move is effective July 1.

“We are very happy for Aaron as he moves into this important central office position,” Bremerton School District officials said Wednesday afternoon shortly after the announcement was made. “At the same time, Aaron will be missed for his exceptional accomplishments at Bremerton Junior High and Bremerton High School.”

Leavell’s new position is one of two at the director-level that were added by NKSD, eliminating four administrative jobs. Seven administrative positions within NKSD will be reorganized into five as well.
