POULSBO — Poulsbo City Councilwoman Becky Erickson has filed to run for Poulsbo’s mayor against current mayor Kathryn Quade. Erickson is in her first term on council. Quade is running for her second term at the city’s helm.

Former city councilman Jim Henry has filed for a seat at the Poulsbo City Council table, challenging current Position 7 holder councilwoman Kim Crowder. Longtime Poulsbo resident Tom Foley has also entered the Position 7 race.

Henry was previously unseated from the council by Erickson in 2008. He was first appointed to the council in April 2000 and was subsequently elected in November 2001. He was again re-elected in 2003.

Crowder began her first term in 2006.

Position 7 marks the only council seat currently contested. Both councilmen Ed Stern (Position 5) and Dale Rudolph (Position 6) will run again, unchallenged as of presstime.

Port of Poulsbo Commissioner Position 2 is also up for reelection. Poulsbo resident Dale Gilbert will run against current commissioner Glenn Gilbert, also of Poulsbo.
