911| Poulsbo man’s safety equipment saves the day

POULSBO — A 50-year-old Poulsbo man was dazed, but not severely hurt, when he fell 50 feet from a tree Dec. 4.

According to reports from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s office and North Kitsap Fire & Rescue, the man was topping a tree on Port Gamble Road at about 2:30 p.m. when he fell to the ground.

The report from the fire department said the man was wearing his protective equipment and “his fall was somewhat broken by branches and a mossy landing.”

He was taken to Harrison Medical Center where he was treated and released.
