Advantage Nissan has agreed again this year to be the corporate sponsor for the grand prize of a 2009 Nissan truck and thanks to Suquamish Casino and Resort, the race also will provide the opportunity to win $1 million.

More than 25 other prizes donated by local merchants also will be awarded.

The 2009 Great Kitsap Duck Race will be held at Silverdale Waterfront Park at 3 p.m. July 26 during Whaling Days.

Duck ticket sales, dates and venues will be announced in upcoming months.

Last year’s proceeds helped fund many local organizations such as the Central Kitsap Food Bank, the Literacy Council of Kitsap County, Hospice of Kitsap County, Corey’s Day At The Farm and more.
