2-day vintage market making 2024 return

Everything you could want in the categories of vintage, antique and handcrafted will be available once again at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds for The Found Market from Feb. 23-24.

Headed by Port Orchard-based Josephine’s Mercantile and run in partnership with the Valley Vintage Market, the Found Market brings together several local artisans, bringing their businesses to life while providing customers with a diverse selection of treasures.

“I don’t ever call it a bizarre crafts show ‘cause it is definitely not that,” Josephine’s Sam Smith said. “Each booth is handpicked and curated, and they each get to set up their own little shop. It’s not just a table with a tablecloth and their items, but they have stations and displays and all that stuff.”

The set-ups are made so that people feel they are walking into the very storefront of each vendor, and that includes watching the craftsmanship take place. “We’re going to have an active belt bar where you can literally have a belt made right there out of leather, punched exactly the way you like for you,” Smith said.

New local businesses such as TBD Pottery will be setting up for the two-day market, and Smith said that everyone has that special something they can come look for. “It’s a fun time to come out of the house and find some unique items. Obviously, my heart is vintage and antique, but people will love everything we have here.”

The market will open on Feb. 23 from 3-8 p.m. and Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door, including a $10 early bird special.
