HALLOWEEN NIGHT
WHISTLING OYSTERS playing pirate shanties at Moondogs’ Haunted Black Pearl of the Carribean, starting at 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at Moondogs, Too, 714 Bay St. in Port Orchard. All ages until 7 p.m., then 21+, no cover.
Moondogs, Too has got to have one of the coolest floor plans of any bar around. It’s got the bar room with an incredibly rustic wooden relic of a liquor shelf, an upstairs game room and an outdoor patio with a stage and multiple fireplaces.
And this Halloween, they’ll be using every square inch.
As they turn the bar into the haunted “Black Pearl,” when you walk in, you’ll be walk into the lower deck of the ship while upstairs will be turned into the Captain’s Quarters and the patio area will be sheltered by enormous sails while the Whistling Oysters provide the shanties. But that’s not all, the South Sound Rogues and Wenches have discovered The Captain’s Quarters are haunted and they’ll be giving tours of the gruesome captain’s doings all night. (And again from 5-9 p.m. Nov. 1).
It’ll be open to kids from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31, but adults only after that.
Around midnight, the Captain Morgan girls will be hoisted onto the ship and will be partying until close.

DJ REACTION will be spinning as Bryan St. Bryan presents Halloween Night at Gandhis’ Lounge starting at 9 p.m., Oct. 31, off of Mickleberry Road, near the intersection with Bucklin Hill in Silverdale. 21+, Ladies free before 11 p.m.
Another place that’s bound to be filled of costumes, or lacks-thereof, Gandhi’s Lounge will be hosting its Halloween Night in consortium with the folks from the Pacific Northwest Costume Shop.
Seattle’s DJ Reaction will be on the turntables.
And judging from the hotties that come out for other Gandhi’s weekly Ladies’ Night and other events like Christmas in July, there’s bound to be more than a few Halloween staples like naughty nurses, French maids and a ton of tight black leather on the dance floor.

Here’s two events that you don’t often see together — Halloween and a wedding.
Well not a wedding proper, but friends of the Charleston, Jacob and Leslie, are hosting their wedding reception at the Chuck and have invited some of the area’s hardest rocking bands to play the wedding singer, all on Halloween night.
They’ve titled it fittingly — a scare-mony.
There’s no cover that night, but costumes are required.
And judging from how the Charleston did up its first Zombie-Fest last spring, it should be a sight to see.
Note: If you’re looking to get into the bar portion of the Charleston that night, lay off the face paint so they can match you to your ID. It’ll come off in the mosh pit anyway.
