Emo kids beware.

Chances are most emo kids won’t be hanging out a place like the Ironhead anyhow, but they might want to take special heed March 21 as All Bets on Death and thrash metal band 12 Gauge Saint will share the stage with Dicktionhead, self-professed “pioneers of tardcore punk rock.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 22

STONE AXE with Bender and Golden Pig Electric Blues Band, 9:30 p.m. March 22 at the Winterland, 1220 Sylvan Way in Bremerton. $5 cover, 21+. Info: www.myspace.com/winterlandrockbones or call (360) 479-5686.

Stone Axe’s rhythm section, Marshal and Harley Trotland, must be in the clouds right now.

Last week they were in Austin, Texas, jamming the South by Southwest Festival with Mike Herrera from MxPx and their original Americana side project Tumbledown. Then the Trotland brothers flew back, and a day later kicked out the jams at the Manette with their original bluegrass southern-rockish band the Rocky Point All Stars.

This Saturday they’ll be throwing down with their latest concoction — Stone Axe — a throwback of highly esteemed local rockers with Marshal and Harley on bass and drums, Dru Brinkerhoff, former lead singer of the Swinos on lead vocals, and Tony Reed, of Mos Generator, on six-string.

It’s bound to get heavy with local metalheads Bender and Seattle’s Golden Pig Electric Blues Band on the bill as well.
