PLANETARIUM SHOW: At 7 p.m. on Nov. 7 the Battle Point Astronomers will host a planetarium show, “many moons,” at the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory. The presentation will discuss the high-impact origin of Earth’s moon and why our noon is so large relative to the size of the Earth and the changes in our moon’s orbit. PORT GAMBLE RAMBLE: Millard Martin will lead this easy hike Nov. 15. Nearby, but surprisingly unknown to many hiking enthusiasts, is this 4,300-acre block of land belonging to Olympic Resource Management. The hike is six to eight miles on undulating terrain, planning to reach the old Port Gamble General Store and Museum for hot chili, soup, or ice cream. No participant limit.
