Stillwaters Environmental Center, 26059 Barber Cut Off Road, Kingston, is hosting a stormwater workshop on April 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Stormwater runoff causes damage to our local creeks and Puget Sound in two ways, according to Stillwaters program director Joleen Palmer, “too much too fast and carrying pollutants.”

She suggests spending an evening to learn about the problems and solutions of stormwater runoff. Discussion will focus on water quantity, water quality and what can be done by all for clean runoff. Participants will receive a “Clean Runoff Kit”. The speaker is Mindy Fohn, water quality manager for Kitsap County Public Works, Surface and Stormwater Management Division.
