In keeping with its them of “All Aboard — Don’t Miss the Boat!” the Fathoms o’Fun Festival Association plans to decorate Towne Square Mall to resemble a cruise ship on Saturday night for the 21st annual Port Orchard Party from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday.

When guests walk in, they’ll get their photograph taken and be handed a glass of champagne.

Then they can sample food from about 14 local restaurants and caterers, dance, listen to music from two bands and participate in a silent auction for real cruise tickets.

Some of the money raised at the event will go to South Kitsap Helpline Food Bank, some will go back to Fathoms, and Soroptimist International of Port Orchard will also benefit.

The Port Orchard Party Committee reports it raised a total of $9,800 with the 2009 event.

The two participating nonprofits — Boys and Girls Clubs of South Kitsap, and Fathoms o’Fun Festival Association — each received $4,400.

A donation of $1,000 and donated food was made to South Kitsap Helpline food bank in December .

Tickets for the 2010 event cost $30 and can be purchased at Columbia Bank, Alfred Interwest Insurance, MoonDogs Too, Peninsula Credit Union, Walkn’ Comfort Shoes, Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce, Sidney Gallery, the Lighthouse Restaurant and Kitsap Bank’s Bay Street and Bethel Avenue branches.
