BAINBRIDGE ISLAND
Who: Exotic Aquatics Scuba and Kayaking and Puget Sound Dive Charters.
What: New Year’s Eve dive adventure aboard the Salish Explorer.
When: 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Where: 146 Winslow Way West.
Details: Enjoy three dives in Puget Sound, dinner and a cruise along the Seattle waterfront before toasting the Space Needle’s fireworks from Elliott Bay with a glass of sparkling punch.
Tickets: $125 per diver; $110 non-diver.

BETHEL
Who: New Year’s Eve Party with the band Ignite at The Bethel Saloon.
When: Thursday, Dec. 31, at 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

BREMERTON
Who: The Admiral Theatre.
What: New Year’s Eve Comedy.
When: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Where: 515 Pacific Ave.
Details: Laugh until it hurts. The best of the Seattle Comedy Underground always delivers a spectacular New Year’s extravaganza. Enjoy a Champagne toast at midnight, then get down and dance on the Admiral’s stage to the tunes of a happening after-hours DJ. Featuring comedian Jim Short.

HANSVILLE
Who: Hansville Community Center.
What: Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Hansville Community Center.
When: 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: 6778 Buck Lake Road NE
Details: Early bird games begin at 6:30 p.m., the main games start at 7. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Games will end around 9:30 p.m. so you will have plenty of time to get home and watch the ball drop at Times Square or head out to another celebration. This event is open to the public. Children can play if accompanied by an adult or guardian. No alcohol will be served.

KINGSTON
Who: The Point Casino.
What: New Year’s Eve Denim and Diamonds Ball at The Point Casino.
When: 6:30 p.m. Dec. 31.
Where: 7989 NE Salish Lane (off Hansville Highway), Kingston.
Details: A great event if you are looking for good food and good music on New Year’s Eve. A prime rib dinner will be served, with music from Freddy Pink.

POULSBO
Who: The Loft.
What: Chef’s Wine-Pairing Dinner.
When: 5:30 p.m. Dec. 31.
Where: 18779 Front St., overlooking Liberty Bay, Poulsbo.
Details: Five-course dinner featuring umame salad, lobster bisque, Santa Fe prawns, smoked beef tenderloin au blue, and New York cheesecake, each paired with a wine. Cost: $50 per person.

Details: Retro ’80s dance spun by DJ Wingman, free photo booth by Olympic Photo Group, party favors, 4,000-square-foot dance floor, cash bar by The Bistro, refreshments by Little City Catering.

PORT ORCHARD
Who: Narrows Bridge Running Club.
What: Yukon Do It Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K.
When: 9 a.m. Dec. 31 start; gates open at 6:45 a.m.
Where: South Kitsap High School, 425 Mitchell Ave.
Details: Join other crazy runners for one last hoorah before the year ends. This is one of the most scenic routes you’ll ever find, with 90 percent of the race running along Puget Sound with views of the Olympic Mountains, Bremerton and the Navy base, Seattle, Mount Rainier and the Cascades, and more.
The half-marathon is a PR-type course with a negative elevation gain and almost all of it as flat as you’ll find.

What: 2016 New Year’s Champagne Toast at Midnight.
When: New Year’s Eve.
Where: 714 Bay St., Port Orchard.
Details: DJ Z is on the set, hors d’oeuvres and party favors. Cover: $5.

Who: Lighthouse Restaurant, 429 Bay St, Port Orchard
What: New Year’s Eve Seafood Buffet.
When: Dec. 31, seating at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Details: Adults $35.95, children 12 and younger $15.95, seniors 55 and older $25.95.
Featuring a seafood station with broiled lobster tail, baked Alaskan king salmon, Penn Cove mussels, as well as clams, shrimp, crab and oysters.
For those not in a seafood mood, a carving station will feature smoked prime rib, smoked ham and breast of chicken.

When: 10 a.m. and again at 9 p.m.
Where: 15347 Suquamish Way NE (off Highway 305), Suquamish.
Details: Enjoy a special “Noon Year’s Eve” Brunch in the Longhouse Buffet, grab a few free party favors in the casino and watch Danny Vernon rock the lounge, starting with a casino-wide countdown to noon.
Those looking to celebrate the traditional start to the new year can come at 7 p.m. to enjoy specialty menus in the The Clearwater and the Longhouse Buffet. Casino-wide countdown planned for midnight. Cash giveaways start at 1 a.m. There will be a winner every hour from 1-3 a.m.
A Beach Rock Lounge Party is planned for 9 p.m. The ticket-only event includes music by Radio 80.
Tickets: Afternoon celebration free; Longhouse Buffet is $16.95 per person. Evening celebration is free; after 9 p.m., tickets are $30 per person.
