A diverse amalgam of Northwest musicians descend upon Kitsap this weekend, offering a grand interjection to the standard disjointedness on your radio.

Musical collective Mythological Horses, with the anti-folk sounds of Shawn Holley, makes the trek from the Beaver State to Bremerton’s Winterland, where they’ll play with Portland’s Saucy Yoda, a mash of hip hop and oldies bringing the lyrical love child of slapstick and attitude. They take the stage at 9 p.m. Friday, April 30. Big Wheel Stunt Show hauls in the crunk and album A Brand New Bag at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Winterland, with loud and fast Seattlites The Spittin’ Cobras, classic and southern 70’s rock from Port Orchard’s Stone Axe and Seattle shatter rockers Astrovan.

Northwest four-piece The Skinny Charles Band spreads nostalgia, rocking progressive and blues from the times of the feathered mullet to the Beiber swoop. The band brings it to The Manette Saloon, 2113 11th St. in Bremerton, from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, April 30.

Seattle powerpop rockers Indecisive Rhythm hit The Charleston Music Venue, 333 N. Callow Ave. in Bremerton, with The Them, Perfume, satirical pop punksters Bedside Manner and Jellyneck, a progressive hard rock act that uses every inch of the stage. Show starts at 7 p.m. Friday, April 30. Cover: $5.

DJ Z mixes favorites of the past four decades from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, April 30, at Silverdale’s Old Town Bistro, 3388 Northwest Byron St. Cover: $5. Chris Switzer goes acoustic at the bistro from 5:30-8:30 Saturday, May 1, followed by Top 40 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
