The Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club of Hansville presents its annual garden sale 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10 at Greater Hansville Community Center on Buck Lake Road. (Follow the signs on Hansville Road.)

Formed 40 years ago, the Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club has matured into one of most popular clubs in the area with over 200 active, enthusiastic members.

Can you imagine a garden sale with this number of members contributing? Can you imagine the number and variety of plants?

You don’t have to imagine! Just arrive early enough to get the best selection of plants and other items, priced well below commercial outlets. There will be some rare and unusual plants along with fresh herbs and vegetable starts. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions.

Scheduled the day before Mother’s Day, the sale is a perfect opportunity to find plants to delight relatives and friends with.

The plant selection will include perennials, shade and woodland plants, annuals, vegetables and herbs, indoor plants and cut flower arrangements. Members contribute delicious homemade baked goods available to purchase. There will also be a raffle of many garden-related items and a silent auction.

The sale benefits annual scholarships to local students, provides for several needy families at Christmas and funds special area beautification and preservation projects.

Last year, over 4,000 items sold before noon. Don’t miss this amazing sale!
