Three Kitsap businesswomen celebrate Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, with a series of workshops at Poulsbo’s Morgan Hill Retreat.

Dr. Sandy Bochonok of Silverdale, a consultant on labyrinth designs and uses; Susan Harrington of Labyrinth Hill Lavender in Hansville; and host Marcia Breece of Morgan Hill Retreat, will present the three-part workshop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The program begins with a walk of the on-site labyrinth and presentation by Bochonok, who recently studied more than 50 labyrinths in western Washington during a one-year sabbatical.

Harrington, whose online course for small-scale lavender growers has enrolled students in 40 states, Canada and Europe, will talk about the history of the herb, its many uses, and her experience building a lavender labyrinth in her backyard.

Breece will demonstrate garden crafts and share experiences of raising llamas, creating a labyrinth and growing lavender as environment for Morgan Hill Llama Farm on Sawdust Hill Road near Poulsbo.

Registration is limited. The $49.95 fee includes lunch, refreshments and workshop materials.

To register or for more information, contact Marcia Breece at (360) 598-4930.
