Celebrating the artistic talent of Silverdale

The annual Old Town Silverdale Art Walk begins at 6 p.m. Friday, June 13. The following businesses in Old Town Silverdale will display local artists’ selections during the next few months:

The annual Old Town Silverdale Art Walk begins at 6 p.m. Friday, June 13. The following businesses in Old Town Silverdale will display local artists’ selections during the next few months:

• Grape Expectations: Rose Mancuso

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers: Maggie Huft

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery: Libby Sullivan

• Olympic Veterinary Hospital: Kara McCallum

• Linda’s Knit & Stitch: Susan Cavanaugh

• The Backdoor Gallery (Two Bits Barbershop): Cynthia Heine

• Silverdale Port Authority: Kings West students

The following businesses will display independent galleries by various artists:

• Old Town Custom Framing and Gallery

• Kitsap Arts — 10th year anniversary, students in action

• Silverdale Fine Arts

• The Backdoor Gallery (Two Bits Barbershop)

• Central Kitsap School District

Artists will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions and discuss their artwork.

The following businesses will offer promotions from 6 to 8 p.m. during the artists’ reception:

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers: free rose

• A Company of Friends: 40 percent off garden accessories

• Kitsap Arts: drawing for one month of free classes

• McGregor & Company: drawing for a $50 gift certificate

• Tee Dee Company: drawing for a $30 gift certificate

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery: free cookie with a donation for the food bank
