I was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and went for a walk with my sister. On an electrical box near the Poulsbo Post Office, I saw an “Identity Evropa” sticker, which I promptly removed. Identity Evropa is a nationwide white supremacist group that is trying to build an authoritarian movement against inclusion and diversity.

Identity Evropa was founded by Nathan Damigo, who was convicted of a felony hate crime after attacking, beating, and robbing a Muslim man in New York City. Damigo also has ties to Richard Spencer, whose goal is to found a white “ethno-state” somewhere in North America.

I don’t know if someone from Kitsap or an out-of-towner is putting up this racist propaganda, but I do think everyone should be aware of who these people are and the goals they have in mind.
