Support SoundRunner passenger ferry

I write this to urge support of Kingston’s foot ferry. Take the SoundRunner to Seattle every first Thursday. Leave Kingston at 11 a.m. and return at 5:20 p.m. As of Sept. 1, the coffee is free. Let’s fill up this boat and keep it running all winter long.

I have a few suggestions to make your afternoon a pleasure.

Find Susan Rodgers on the boat. She will have reservations for lunch somewhere new each month. All are welcome. Meet and eat and plan your day. Buses downtown are free. Catch the 16 bus in front of the ferry terminal. It goes up 3rd Avenue. Take it to the market, the Seattle Art Museum, Westlake, Seattle Center, all the way to Northgate.

Get the 99 bus. It follows the old trolley route to the International District, Uwajimaya, Wing Luke Museum, and great food. Tour the waterfront. Ride a pedicab. They are free for a short ride, tip for longer, tip bigger for uphill. Get the 99 bus to the Sculpture Garden.Have a great day in the city every month.
