Putaansuu helped McCormick Woods annexation happen

To all my McCormick Woods area friends and neighbors:

I guess you can take the boy out of McCormick Woods, but you can’t take McCormick Woods out of the boy.

Besides, still owning a home in The Woods, I left a part of me there when I moved to the Portland area.

I have invested a lot of time and energy into the annexation effort and I have followed the process closely. I was pleased to see it was approved with a comfortable majority of residents approving.

Representation was a major reason we worked so hard for the drive toward annexation and the time for exercising our right to chose has arrived.

Next Nov. 3, there will be an election for your Port Orchard City Council members. This is where you make your voice heard and your wants and needs known.

The people you elect can and will make a difference in your future, the future of the city of Port Orchard and the McCormick Woods area, so you want to vote wisely.

Which brings me to the purpose of this note.

Rob Putaansuu, presently a Port Orchard City Council member, is running for re-election for Position 3. I strongly endorse Rob and hope he remains on the council.

He was a tremendous help and support to our committee throughout the annexation campaign.

I found Rob easy to talk with, a good listener, a strong believer in the future of Port Orchard and he thinks before he acts.

Those are my thoughts but you need to decide for yourself and vote wisely. It was my understanding that on July 29 “An Evening With Councilman Putaansuu” was to be held at the Clubhouse at McCormick Woods.

Since it is the summer season and many of you are busy with other activities, the “Evening” is being put on hold until a later date.

When that date is announced, I urge you to attend and ask Rob why you should vote for him and what he intends to do to move the city of Port Orchard.
