Poulsbo Community Orchestra performs to packed audience

On Dec. 2, our West Sound community experienced a spectacular event at North Kitsap Auditorium. The Poulsbo Community Orchestra performed its fifth Christmas concert, under the baton of Maestro Mario Torres.

Accompanying the orchestra, in Handel’s Messiah, was the Amabile Choir of Bainbridge Island and the North Kitsap Symphonic Choir and its conductor, Sylvia Cauter.

The auditorium stage was packed with 120 talented volunteer musicians. As in previous years, enthusiastic patrons endured “standing room only” to enjoy traditional and holiday sing-along music. On behalf of our young orchestra and these exceptional choirs, I extend our appreciation to the community that eagerly supports music and the arts in north Kitsap County.

Mark your calendars now to hear the orchestra perform Rossini, Beethoven and Dvorak classics, and renowned solo violinist Jennifer Yarbrough, at the auditorium on Sunday, March 24.
