I’ve just read the very moving article about Carmen Garringer’s wonderful friends who had their heads shaved to support her in her brave fight against cancer (“‘Prom’ raises $5,000 for Carmen,” page A1, April 19 Herald).

These are such wonderful children, and we are so very lucky to have them in our community.  I had tears in my eyes looking at their beautiful pictures and thinking about Carmen.

Thank you so very much for this article. I think that it reflects very well on the Herald that you featured this article on the front page of the paper.
