To the editor
I’m Uncle Pedro from Texas. I support law and order. I’m just writing to remind you DACA dreamers that our immigration laws were written by white politicians.
I know you qualified as a DACA child by having lived continuously here since June 15, 2007, and you have never been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanors. Nevertheless, because your parents broke our immigration laws, your reward will be in the Promised Land. But for you, Trump’s America isn’t it.
We tough-minded Texans see even Dreamers who serve in our armed forces as mercenaries who take jobs away from both black and white patriotic citizens. The fact that you have dark skin has nothing to do with our law or law enforcement, as any black American, except Uncle Toms, will tell you.
So, follow their historical example and join them in putting a smile on your face and a song in your heart on your way back home to your plantation south of the border, your promised land, where family values are more than an empty political slogan, where soldiers are true patriots, not job-robbing thugs or money-grabbing mercenaries, and where you will be free at last from your parents’ criminal past.
Unlike foreign terrorists, we citizens are too civilized to use children as human shields, but not yet civilized enough to stop using legal child abuse as political bargaining chips. When it comes to writing laws and enforcing them, whites know best.
