I am wondering when there will be an more comprehensive investigation of the Hansville Road closure on Feb 8. I was in that line, along with hundreds of other greater Hansville residents, for the almost seven hours that the road was closed.
This road has been closed numerous times, usually for traffic fatalities. When I found out that this closure was because of Puget Power’s subcontractor not being able to change the pole that fell down, I was enraged. Once the power was off, which was almost immediately, why wasn’t the pole cut with a chainsaw? By the way, no one told any of the hundreds of us in the cars what was happening or when the road would open. I finally got home at 12:15 a.m.
Greater Hansville Advisory Association should be figuring out ways to construct an alternative route. Closing a road for almost seven hours for a non-fatality accident is totally unacceptable.
