In an unabashed attempt to rewrite history, Mary Dombrowski and her husband, Republican candidate for the state Legislature, (23rd district, position 2) are now claiming that James Olsen had nothing to do with causing the “ruckus” that erupted in our schools over their hostility toward the district’s decision to teach about the Japanese internment during World War II.
To set the historical record straight, I invite you to visit a Facebook page I found: Character Counts — Defeat James Olsen — (Google it) at which you can read the entire Bainbridge Island School District press release explaining why they deemed Olsen to be disruptive, his behavior inappropriate and subsequently banned him from school property.
A few months ago I wrote a letter expressing my concern about his candidacy and his character and he responded online by making fun of my name and suggesting I took illegal narcotics.
All of these instances, and many more, are chronicled on the Facebook page I mentioned above where you can read Olsen’s tirades, in his own words, as well as view his incomplete personal financial affairs reports.
This man is narcissistic enough to believe that all this erratic behavior will go unnoticed by the electorate who live off Bainbridge and/or who will vote for a Republican candidate under any circumstances.
But I know a lot of Republicans. They do not simply check a box without knowing who they are voting for. So be aware. Be very aware that this man has tormented Bainbridge Island for over a decade and there is a vast amount of proof detailing this. Vote for anyone else — write in your cat — if you can’t vote for the Democrat. Just don’t allow this man access to power and authority. Electing him would be a tragedy for our community.
