More than 150 homes for sale through Windermere Real Estate/West Sound Inc. will be available for viewing Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11, as part of a Realtor nationwide open house event. Local Windermere agents will participate in this two-day event, as part of a national program across 45 states. The first open house weekend in 2009 was originally conceived by the Washington Association of Realtors and drew 5,000 people statewide.

The Kitsap County houses will be open from 1-4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. A list of participating homes can be found at www.windermere.com.

“There are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for home ownership in our community,” said Casey McGrath, designated broker for Windermere West Sound Inc. “With home prices and interest rates so low, many can afford a home that seemed out of reach in years past.”

The $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit and $6,500 tax credit for those who already own a home expires April 30.
