St. Anthony Hospital celebrates fifth anniversary

St. Anthony Hospital, part of the Franciscan Health System, will celebrate its five-year anniversary on March 17.

GIG HARBOR — St. Anthony Hospital, part of the Franciscan Health System, will celebrate its five-year anniversary on March 17.  The hospital opened on March 17, 2009 as the first and only hospital to serve the city of nearly 8,000 residents.

St. Anthony also provides medical services for residents of the Key Peninsula, south Kitsap County and north Mason County.

Visitors to St. Anthony Hospital have access to state-of-the-art medical care, including 24/7 emergency services, sophisticated in- and outpatient surgery, complete outpatient cancer care and more. Gig Harbor and peninsula residents don’t have to go far to find the finest medical care and comfort available close to home.

St. Anthony Hospital has been recognized twice with the “Excellence through Insight Award” for patient satisfaction by HealthStream Research. St. Anthony has been awarded both a Gold and Silver award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for its commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for stroke patients.

St. Anthony is also dedicated to supporting the community by sponsoring several community events throughout the year including the Gig Harbor Health and Safety Expo, Maritime Gig Fest and Summer Sounds at Skansie.
