Photographer Walker buys frame shop

Johnny Walker, owner of Almost Candid Photography, purchased the Kingston Frame Shop from company founder Mark Scholl.

KINGSTON — Johnny Walker, owner of Almost Candid Photography, purchased the Kingston Frame Shop from company founder Mark Scholl.

The sale took effect Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

Look for some big changes. First, a new name: Almost Candid Photo and Framing.

Second, in the last week of August or first week of September, a new location, moving from 25923 NE Washington Blvd. to the IGA shopping center at 10978 Highway 104, Suite 109.

Third, a famous addition: internationally known artist Max Hayslette will move his gallery into Almost Candid.

Fourth, a new website, www.almostcandid.net.

The current frame shop phone number, 297-3547, will change to 297-1347 at the new location.

Walker is a security technology consultant and former Navy chief petty officer and law enforcement officer. He founded Almost Candid Photography two years ago. He is a member of the boards of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce and the Kitsap County Historical Society.
