POULSBO — Fine Solutions spun off its Foundation practice March 1, allowing that arm of the company to become its own independent entity called Fine MSP.

MSP is the abbreviation for “managed service provider,” a business model for providing information-technology services.

Fine MSP specializes in managed IT services, cyber-security services, server care, desktop and user care, data backup and disaster recovery, web filtering and firewall, complete vendor management, outsourced IT department, telephony, and cloud services.

Fine Solutions (www.fine.com) is a cloud-hosting services provider specializing in Microsoft Dynamics AX, GP and CRM, and other front and back office solutions that the client owns or wants to use. It delivers software as a service and hosts clients’ applications.

Steve Treanor, former vice president of Fine Solution’s Foundation practice, is now CEO of Fine MSP.

According to Fine Solutions, “This transaction will allow [the company] to more thoroughly focus on its core mission: assisting Northwest businesses in their growth processes to position themselves for continued expansion. It will also continue to offer customers a complete hosted solution for their Dynamics ERP and/or Dynamics CRM platforms.”

Fine’s Network Operations Center is located in Powder Hill in Poulsbo.

“I want to dedicate my team to be the go-to IT partner in the area,” Treanor said. “This will help local businesses be more productive with the technology they have without spending a fortune to staff the support of that technology.”
