Natural lawn care workshop planned
A natural lawn care workshop will be from noon to 4 p.m. May 17 at Valley Nursery, 20882 Bond Road, Poulsbo. The $10 registration fee covers lunch and handouts. Sponsored by Natural Landscapes Project and supported by funds from Washington State Department of Ecology, the workshop is geared for landscape maintenance workers as well as interested homeowners who wish to create lively, healthy lawns without chemicals. Edward Jones adds new employee
Sarah Foster recently joined the Poulsbo Edward ones office as a business office administrator (BOA) trainee.

Watson Furniture renews operations of product line
Watson Furniture Group of Poulsbo recently announced renewed operations of its recently acquired Magna Design product line. An office furniture designer and manufacturer, Magna Design had temporarily suspended operations in March of this year while seeking a buyer.
“We have been energized by this process and are excited to see production resume at Magna,” said Clif McKenzie, president of the Watson Furniture Group. “We’re committed to having production running again by April 1, and thanks to the combined efforts of our Watson and Magna teams, we have met that goal.”
From the Magna Design offices in Lynnwood, Wash., McKenzie is working closely with Tom Sehrer, Magna’s former President, who has agreed to stay on in a consulting capacity.
“Reassurance of existing customers is key during this transition,” said McKenzie, “Tom and his team have been in very close contact with their customers during these past few weeks and we are all working hard to meet their expectations and commitments regarding existing orders and delivery timelines.”
McKenzie expects to have the Magna Design plant running at full capacity by the beginning of May.

First time home buyer class offered
