American Marine Bank has new manager

The Kingston branch of American Marine Bank promoted Shannon Harry as its new branch manager to replace Debbie Anderson who retired last year.

Harry has a 25-year career in the financial services and real estate profession. She is a Washington native, who grew up on Bainbridge Island and moved to Kingston 11 years ago. She is active in the community, volunteering for the Kingston Chamber of Commerce, the Kingston Revitalization Association and is joining the Kingston Downtown Association. She has been an active participant in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for the past four years and serves as the 2009 Team Development Chair for Relay for Life, North Kitsap. In her spare time, Harr has run a successful custom gift basket business for the past five years.

Mollie (Thomas) and Pete Orbea have opened the doors of their new sign shop, Orbea Sign Company, at 22287B Stottlemeyer Road NE in Poulsbo, located just off of Bond Road and Highway 307 within the North Kitsap Services business park. They will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 27-28 with refreshments and a raffle.

Mollie has seven years experience in the sign production industry. Pete has worked in retail sales management, construction and also in the sign production industry. The Orbea’s are a well-rounded team for producing signs of success.

Milestone anniversaries at Kitsap Bank

Kitsap Bank recognized several employees for reaching milestone anniversaries in 2008.

Betsy Pentz, vice president and customer service manager, recently celebrated her 35th year of service. With 30 years to their credit are Larry Krueger, senior vice president and chief audit executive, and Kevin Geister, assistant vice president and information technology officer.

Alice Chigbrow, teller at the Kingston branch, and Lori Swengel, teller at the East Bremerton branch, each reached their 25th year with the bank.

Kitsap Physical Therapy celebrates three decades

Kitsap Physical Therapy was founded in January 1979 by Mike and Barb Danford. Mike specialized in orthopedics and sports injury management while Barb specialized in pediatrics. From the beginning, they were committed to accelerated-skill development of the staff to provide highly skilled treatment programs for their patients.

They began at the North Kitsap Medical Center and opened a Bainbridge Island office in 1983. In the 1990s, they added offices in Kingston, at Poulsbo Village, Silverdale and Bremerton.

In 1986, Dave Damon joined KPT and in 1994 he became a partner and contributed to its growth and success. KPT has evoled into a group practice with 13 partners and expanded specialty programs to better serve the needs of the communities.
